Totally nice and friendly. A real hostel, but you can borrow bed linens. Just call and you'll get friendly information. Two-bed and four-bed rooms. Great breakfast! Thanks...

Fantastic accommodation in an idyllic setting and incredibly friendly. We arrived spontaneously by bicycle and the hostess even cycled out to help us. Great amenities and a super price! I would love to come back again!

The "Alte Schule" is a simple, yet clean and well-maintained hostel. It offers single, double, triple, and quadruple rooms, with breakfast available upon request. The hostel is a good starting point for cycling tours in the surrounding area or as a stopover for tours along the Elbe River.

I stayed at the Alte Schule with my daughter in July, and we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and Mrs. Sühr's warm hospitality. We found the exhibition about the former German-German border and Mrs. Sühr's personal accounts very moving. Clean and functional rooms and a wonderful breakfast on the terrace left us well-fueled for the next leg of our journey to Dresden. We would gladly return anytime; next time, we'll remember to have dinner before crossing the Elbe :-)

A truly friendly hostess at our "emergency shelter." A great hostel for cyclists. Not far from the Elbe Cycle Path and very quiet. The accommodations are simple and very clean. Camping is also possible. We give it a full 5 stars.

As part of a bike tour along the Elbe River, we spent the night here with our tent in the garden. The road nearby is quiet (except a little more in the morning). A wonderful stay at a fair price with a friendly hostess, and it's very, very clean! You should stock up on groceries before you arrive, as there aren't any nearby. The nearest option is Bleckede, about 4 km away, with numerous restaurants and shops. However, you have to take the ferry to get there. Thank you for the wonderful overnight stay and hospitality.
